Texturized rain screen cladding (163)

Cumella ceramist produces this elegant clay cladding, according to a design that evokes the traditional wooden-slats sun-protections in Barcelona.

Even though the cladding evokes slats, it is not a sun filtering elements; it is an outer layer of a rain screen façade that, intermittently, closes the building getting either close to the wall or liberating an outer open space. It depends on the functional needs.
Maybe a pity not having combined this ribbed clay cladding with slats made of the same material. Be that as it, we acclaim the decision to resort to a texturized cladding instead of to the too much common flat clay plates.
