Dematerialized steel curtain wall (018)

The curtain wall that closes the large openings of this public library is solved by seeking the neutrality we spoke about in "Steel mesh reinforced ETICS (019)" in reference to the ETICS solution. The slenderness of the mullions  -steel platens instead of tubular profiles-, the absence of mullions in the corners, and the negation of the interruption that might have been caused by the intermediate slab, are resources aimed at dematerializing the skin and establishing a very intense visual connection between the inner and outer spaces.

With great elegance, this white lacquered steel curtain wall closes openings that let natural light fill the reading rooms.
